Jude Bellingham got his first taste of El Clasico action at Real Madrid on Saturday when tensions boiled over against Barcelona.
The 20-year-old completed his move to Los Blancos in June in a deal that could rise to £115million, a record for a British player.
Having impressed highly at Borussia Dortmund and already made 24 caps for England, many feel the sky is the limit for him at Madrid.
Bellingham arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu as one of two signings for the future alongside Arda Guler.
Madrid are one of world football’s most successful clubs and boast an iconic rivalry with Barcelona.
They met again this weekend for a pre-season match, but there was nothing friendly about it as both sides clashed in the United States.
Just before half-time, Madrid and Barcelona players were pushing and shoving each other after a hefty challenge from Frenkie de Jong.
Bellingham was caught up in the middle of it all, but appeared confused as to what was going on.
His reaction was a source of humour for fans on Twitter, with one saying: “Bro didn’t know they got down like this in Spain.”
“Araujo be like blud you ain’t going nowhere,” added another alongside a laughing emoji.
A third said: “The way he is being pulled back into it is the funniest.”
Barcelona went on to win 3-0 against Madrid, Bellingham’s first taste of defeat since he joined the club.
Fans witnessed his quality in his first appearance though when he scored a chipped goal in a 2-0 win over Manchester United.
Bellingham will likely feature against Juventus in Madrid’s final pre-season friendly on Wednesday before the new La Liga season begins.
